Adopt A Family
The holidays will be here before we know it! Please join us this year to be part of the Homeless Prevention Council’s 2021 Adopt A Family holiday program. Together, we can help bring a joyful celebration to families in our community who need support. Thanks to the generosity of you and so many others, this annual program has been an incredible and meaningful success for the past 27 years.
AAF provides local children (newborns to teens) with new clothing and special gifts uniquely matched to each child’s interests and holiday wishes. There are many ways you can bring smiles to children’s faces this holiday season. Please consider:
Being matched with (and thus “adopt”) a multi or single-child family to shop for clothing and wish list items
Sending a donation to HPC and our Santa Shoppers will make purchases for you
Donating to the HPC Adopt A Family Bike Fund
Purchasing a gift card that will be used to fulfill a requested gift for a child
Buying grocery gift cards that HPC will give to the families as a special enhancement to their holiday celebrations.
To join HPC’s AAF program, contact Ramona, our Adopt A Family Program Chair, at 508-255-9667 x160 or email at email@example.com. We will be in touch to match you with a family and to discuss the other options outlined above. To donate online, please follow the link below to our giving page.
We will begin collecting item donations on November 15th at our HPC Holiday Workshop located at:
Skaket Corners, 9 West Road in Orleans (former Olympia Sports Store)
Hours of operation:
Regular hours: Monday –Friday 10:30 am –1:30 pm (November 15 to December 3)
Late drop off: 2-6 pm Tuesday 11/16, Tuesday 11/23, and Thursday 12/2
*The HPC Holiday Workshop is closed November 24-28 for Thanksgiving*
Each year, our Adopt-a-Family program provides wish list items to hundreds of families and children. Donors generously “adopt” a family by purchasing the requested clothing and toy items for each local child. Thanks to the commitment and generosity of our local community, each local child is ensured gifts and clothing to open during the holiday season.
