Let's Talk About Tomorrow
HPC’s Let's Talk About Tomorrow program is an exploratory information and planning session that brings older adults together to discuss longer-term housing needs as they age. Our Senior Case Manager hosts this workshop. The aim is to address housing-related questions and encourage participants to work with HPC Case Managers to review all their options for later-in-life housing needs.
Our early intervention and community outreach connect us with our neighbors before they reach crisis situations. Homeless prevention is the core of HPC’s work. Programs like Let’s Talk About Tomorrow are key to helping people with advanced planning and crisis prevention.
Dennis' Story
For Dennis, the loss of his mother and the home they shared turned his world upside down. With the advice and support of his HPC Case Manager, Dennis attended a Let’s Talk About Tomorrow workshop at Snow Library.
"HPC got me started in the process and it was just like a godsend, a miracle. I am delighted to now be in an affordable elderly housing unit in South Dennis, and I just thank my lucky stars every day for it,” said Dennis. “I am indebted to HPC for making it possible. I don’t know what my situation would have been without their support."
