Amanda

Lead Youth Outreach Worker

As the Lead Youth Outreach Worker at the Homeless Prevention Council, Amanda assists young adults experiencing homelessness in the community, helping them achieve stability by meeting their basic needs. Having lived on Cape Cod her entire life, Amanda’s deep connection to the community drives her commitment to addressing youth and young adult homelessness. While completing her BA in Biophysics and Molecular Genetics at Hampshire College, she was introduced to the field of medical social work. Recognizing the vital link between stable housing and positive mental and physical health outcomes, Amanda set out to gain hands-on experience and education in social work after graduating in 2020. She strives to bridge disciplines to effect positive change that uplifts and sustains the well-being of Cape Cod’s youth and young adult community members. Amanda is also a founding member of the Cape and Islands Youth Action Board.

Why We're Here

HPC wants to provide our community with tools to keep stable housing and attain financial independence. An HPC Case Manager will work with clients, assess their situation, and connect them to resources that address the challenges they are facing.

HPC is here to support local residents—from Harwich to Provincetown and in special programs in Yarmouth and Dennis—to foster a community where everyone can prosper.
