Wendy's Story

My mother had been a long-time resident of Orleans and had volunteered with many local organizations. I listened to how she described their work, but it is the way she described the work of HPC that really caught my interest.

The organization is about helping people who are experiencing homelessness or in peril of that, get back on their feet through advisors that provide them with access to housing, food, employment, budgeting -- whatever is needed. Getting people from crisis to stability -- and beyond. I have loved working in the office, leading the Walk for Home event for two years, and enjoyed working with the enthusiastic staff and volunteers. I find myself putting in a lot of work -- but the personal benefit is enormous!

Why We're Here

HPC wants to provide our community with tools to keep stable housing and attain financial independence. An HPC Case Manager will work with clients, assess their situation, and connect them to resources that address the challenges they are facing.

HPC is here to support local residents—from Harwich to Provincetown and in special programs in Yarmouth and Dennis—to foster a community where everyone can prosper.
